When an afterthought ends up on a cover, it really gets you thinking. While shooting a portrait of pastry chef Dana Farkas, I ended up also shooting a little food while I was there. The very next month, one of those shots landed on the cover! There are so many food photographers who also end up shooting portraits of chefs. Could I be the portrait photographer who also ends up shooting food? After the cover, Diablo kept calling me back with little food assignments and I think I'm getting the hang of it. I love meeting the chefs and learning about the dishes. Here's a little selection of the food work that's found it's way to me.
